Founded in 2019 by Michael le Court de Billot, Moda Studio Architects is a young, dynamic team of architects working on projects across South Africa and the United Kingdom, specialising in high-end residential architecture. A North Coast local, Michael completed his architectural studies at the University of Brighton in the United Kingdom before returning to South Africa to establish Moda Studio Architects.

Their work is grounded in a key set of design principles: simplicity, sustainability, and longevity. These principles inform every design decision, from initial concept through to material selection and construction detailing.

In recognition of their work, Moda Studio was awarded the 2023 / 2024 International Property Award for ‘The Flatcrown House’ in Elaleni Coastal Estate.

At the core of their practice is a close collaborative effort between client and architect. They engage deeply with project fundamentals, interpreting intent through design while allowing experience, materiality, natural light and site context to guide the outcome.

The small team is equipped to deliver bespoke, high-end residential projects across diverse local and international landscapes.
